ABOUT GEORG MEYER-WIEL
Georg Meyer-Wiel is a German-born, London-based artist whose practice spans drawing, painting, photography, costume- and set design.
His work is rooted in the human figure, exploring masculinity not as a fixed identity, but as a fluid emotional and physical state. Across his practice, the body appears charged with movement and tension - never static, never decorative - acting as a bridge between inner experience and outward form.
Georg’s figures often feel caught mid-breath, suspended between strength and vulnerability. Rather than presenting the body as an object to be observed, his work treats it as a living archive - carrying memory, desire, conflict, and surrender. This approach gives his work a strong emotional presence and an intensity that extends beyond representation.
