Five Layers of Flash is a limited-edition print series created by British artist Georg Meyer-Wiel in close collaboration with Uncovered Part II: Body. The series is inspired by the five emotional archetypes explored in the book and reflects different moments of exposure, strength, and vulnerability. Rather than illustrating specific scenes, the artworks respond to the feelings and inner states behind the text and images.

Georg Meyer-Wiel comes from a background in fashion and costume design, which strongly shapes his approach to the body. He is especially interested in the idea of undressing - not only as a physical act, but as an emotional one. As Georg explains, the works were created by placing visual references from each chapter “side by side, showing stages of revealing the body; and with that, expressing both strength and vulnerability.” This idea runs through all five prints and connects them as a single visual journey.

Created exclusively for this collaboration, Five Layers of Flash is meant to be experienced as a complete set. The prints work as a visual companion to the book, offering another way to engage with the themes of Uncovered Part II: Body. Together, the book and the artworks invite reflection, honesty, and a deeper connection to the body as a place of memory, change, and self-acceptance.
